Wilcon continues to expand, opens 60th Store
Upbeat about the Philippine economy’s ability to bounce back and the resilience of the Filipino people, Wilcon Depot opened in Calumpit, Bulacan, on June 26 its 60th store nationwide.
The Philippines’ leading home improvement and construction supply retailer inaugurated its Calumpit branch as an important milestone in its mission to dot the nation with stores offering top-of-the-line, innovative and sustainable products and solutions.
“As Wilcon Depot plans to expand to 100 locations nationwide by 2025 with our #FlyingHighTo100 store expansion campaign, the company is closer to our goal with the opening of our 60th store,” said Wilcon Depot Senior Executive Vice President-Chief Operating Officer Rosemarie Ong. She graced the opening rites with President and CEO Lorraine Belo-Cincochan, as well as provincial and municipal leaders.
“As we celebrate this important milestone, we are very excited to provide the local homeowners and builders across the country the high-quality home improvement and construction needs and a customer-focused shopping experience that Wilcon offers,” she added. The newly launched location treated valued shoppers to an opening day discount of 5-percent on regular priced items. The store in Pio Cruzcosa, Calumpit, is the third in the province of Bulacan, next to the Baliuag branch opened in July 2010 and the San Jose Del Monte branch which began operating just on Independence Day.
The newest one-stop-shop home improvement store is open daily, 8 AM-5 PM. It boasts a sales area of over 10,000 square meters, housing an impressive array of products from tiles, sanitaryware, plumbing, furniture and home interior to building materials, hardware, electrical, appliances and DIY items – some from the premium end and exclusively carried by Wilcon.
Visit the Tile Studio, the Living, Kitchen and Bath or LKB Showroom. Consult an interior designer at the Design Hub. Industry professionals can head over to the Architects, Builders, Contractors, Designers, and Engineers (ABCDE) Lounge. Customers won’t have to worry about parking spaces, product delivery, even tile cutting, among others.
As the nation endures the pandemic, Wilcon Depot Calumpit will implement in-house safety measures to prevent COVID-19 transmission. It will provide temperature checks at the entrance, sanitizing shoe baths, and hand sanitizing stations. It will also observe a “no mask, no entry” policy and social distancing protocols.
Adapting further to the new normal, it has introduced its Browse, Call, and Collect/Deliver feature: Customers can pick items via the Wilcon website or online shop; call, text or Viber Wilcon to place their orders; and collect or get delivered their purchases. They may pay via bank transfers, GCash, PayMaya, Instapay, PesoNet, WeChat and Alipay.
The celebrative opening of Wilcon Depot’s 60th store in the country carries a message of hope for customers and stakeholders: Keep building your dreams with Wilcon; we will all overcome this pandemic.
