Mobile services provider Smart Communications, Inc. continues to strengthen its hold on Filipino mobile gamers as it recently won the first-ever Games Experience Award by Opensignal, an independent mobile analytics firm.
For its Games Experience Award, Opensignal measures how mobile users experience real-time multiplayer mobile gaming on an operator’s network.
It is a new category in Opensignal’s April 2020 Mobile Network Experience Report for the Philippines, which collected over 659 million measurements from 288,492 devices across the country from November 1, 2019 to January 29, 2020.
Opensignal noted that its parameters for the Games Experience category includes latency, jitter, and packet loss, and that it considers multiple genres of multiplayer mobile games to measure the average sensitivity to network conditions.
