Telco firm PLDT allows staggered bill payments as COVID-19 reprieve
Telco giant PLDT Inc. is allowing postpaid subscribers to pay their bills on an interest-free installment basi in a reprieve for customers amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
PLDT and Smart Communications announced on Tuesday (April 14) that the installment period will run for six-months starting this coming May 1.
It will apply to PLDT Home, Smart and Sun postpaid subscriptions. The telco giant previously extended the payment period to April 30—the target date of the lifting of enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.
“We hope that through this payment program, we will help keep you connected whether you are at home, the office or elsewhere after the enhanced community quarantine period,” PLDT chair and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan said.
“As one community, we will get through these challenging times together,” he said.
