Leading Independent Oil Company Cleanfuel has launched its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative that aims to address and combat the global coronavirus crisis and sustain communities by helping out in drive donations and relief operations in Metro Manila and in provincial cities.
The campaign, which was dubbed as #BeatCovid19, is Cleanfuel’s collective effort and call to help mitigate the spread of the novel virus in the country. At the forefront of saving lives are our medical front liners—composed of doctors, nurses, and various health care workers—who are needed to be shuttled from their workplace and home. Cleanfuel has partnered with the Department of Transportation’s (DOTr) Free Bus Ride for Health Workers” Program that shuttles all the tireless health workers to their respected hospital duties.
“The outbreak of Covid19 is not only a global health crisis; it also affects the economy of every nation. At this point, the only thing that matters is to help out our medical frontliners in fulfilling their job. Our main priority is their safety. Our partnership with the Department of Transportation with the Free Bus Ride assures the safety of our modern day heroes,” said Atty Bong Suntay, President of Cleanfuel.
Suntay shares that the Bayanihan spirit of Filipinos are tested again in this time of uncertainty.
“We’re in a battle and our enemy can’t be seen. Today, we are facing the biggest goliaths in our lives. The weaknesses that we experience as a nation are replaced by the overflowing generosity and heroism of our everyday heroes—our frontliners. As we all help our frontliners, we’re also saving other lives, which brings us closer to healing our nation,” he said.

“There are a lot of ways to win the battle in fighting this outbreak. One is to provide food for rural families in Barangays amidst the enhanced community quarantine,” said Suntay.
“This is the best time to extend help and compassion to people. In the days and weeks ahead, we’ve seen thousands of lives fighting in the hospitals. This outbreak affected all sectors and all walks of life. We’re in this battle together, to protect the health of all Filipinos, and to create assistance to families who are in need,” concludes Suntay.
