Independent petroleum firm provides free fuel for hospitals to help fight COVID-19
Independent petroleum distributor SEAOIL said on Tuesday (April 7) that it will provide free fuel vouchers to hospitals for the use of their ambulances and frontliners who are involved in the fight against the COVID-19 disease.
In a statement, the company said the fuel e-vouchers — which will be given directly to the hospitals — will be honored in all open SEAOIL petroleum stations nationwide.
Currently, SEAOIL is already supplying free fuel to over 20 hospitals nationwide, including the Philippine General Hospital, the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, San Lazaro Hospital, East Avenue Medical Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center and the Philippine Heart Center, among others.
“SEAOIL continues to do its part in helping our frontliners conquer COVID-19,” its CEO Glenn Yu said. “We are maximizing resources to keep assistance and aid for our employees and the community.”
He said the firm is also in touch with partners to extend free fuel where it is urgently needed.
SEAOIL previously announced that a P5 gasoline and P3 diesel discount in selected stations across the country has been made available for those directly involved in maintaining health and security during the COVID-19 pandemic.
