Malls announce rent condonation during Luzon quarantine

MANILA, Philippines — The country’s biggest shopping mall developers are waiving rental fees for tenants whose businesses were affected by the Luzon-wide lockdown due to the new coronavirus.

AyalaMalls, Gokongwei-led property developer Robinsons Land Corp. and the SM group will waive rent for their nonoperational tenants in all of its 74 shopping malls, from March 16 to April 14.
