Globe Telecom partnered with the provincial government of Ilocos Norte to boost the digital transformation of the province, also known as the “Northern Gateway of the Philippines.”
Last February 11, Globe executives and Ilocos Norte government officials, Mr. Ernest Cu, President & CEO of Globe Telecom and Ilocos Norte Governor Hon. Matthew J. Marcos Manotoc signed a memorandum of agreement at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall Capitol Building, Laoag City.
Hon. Manotoc expressed his gratitude for Globe’s reliable services in providing free WiFi access across all 23 towns and cities of Ilocos Norte.
“We look forward to a very healthy, fruitful, and mutually beneficial partnership with Globe,” said Manotoc.
Moreover, the remaining 21 municipalities of Ilocos Norte will also enjoy the internet service as part of the signed agreement.
Mr. Cu further mentioned that Globe has always been committed to enhancing people’s digital lifestyle.
“We want families to succeed, businesses to flourish and a province to be admired…You can count on Globe to support your digital initiatives here in Ilocos Norte.”
Given this initiative, Ilokanos can now enjoy free public WiFi services at Aurora Park, Laoag and Batac City Hall, and San Nicolas I.T. Park.
