IT firm teams up with Amazon subsidiary

Local open source solutions and services provider Touch Solutions Inc. has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide a wide range of cloud-based services to local enterprises.

Under the partnership, TSI will offer to the Philippine market the full range of AWS’ solutions, including application hosting, back-up and storage, content delivery, databases, e-commerce applications, enterprise IT, high-performance computing and media hosting.

TSI will complement these AWS products with its own suite of solutions under the Touch Solutions Select Services (TS3) umbrella.

According to TSI, its partnership with AWS would allow it to provide local enterprises with products and services designed “to drive higher efficiency and business growth.”

TSI vice president Michael Fernandez said local companies should consider outsourcing some of their IT requirements to enable them to focus on their core competencies and at the same time rely on experts to handle their critical IT needs.

TSI provides a full range of services, including server management, monitoring, back-up and recovery, security and support.—Abigail L. Ho
