It was a night of looking back at the past and moving towards the future, as Sun Life Philippines celebrated its 125th anniversary with a concert musical titled “Beyond Lifetimes” last January 17 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The concert musical, which highlights the important milestones and achievements of the company throughout the decades, revolves around the life and stories of real people whose lives have been touched by Sun Life Philippines:
Sun Life financial agent Sixto Sandejas, who was the first Filipino to join the exclusive Macaulay Club in 1918; the family of Sy Dijo as Sun Life clients across four generations; Sun Life’s oldest living agent Carlos Medina; Sun Life beneficiary Aurora Quezon, who received their claims after her husband, Former Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon, passed away; and the story of Rochelle Ilao Dolor, a beneficiary of her father’s Sun Life policy—these are the life stories beautifully retold in the concert musical, much to the delight of Sun Life employees and advisors present to commemorate the event.
Sun Life’s Brand Ambassadors Piolo and Iñigo Pascual, Charo Santos-Concio, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, Matteo Guidicelli, and Enchong Dee were the frontliners of the celebration, unfolding the bright and golden story of the No. 1 insurance company in the country.
Top caliber artists in the Philippine music industry also came to celebrate with Sun Life, featuring performances from Rachelle Ann Go, Gian Magdangal, Acapellago, Radha, Frenchie Dy, Katrina Velarde, the Philippine Madrigal Singers, Baihana, Aicelle Santos, Gab Pangilinan, Morisette, and Ben&Ben.
Sun Life Philippines CEO and Country Head Benedicto Sison expresses his appreciation to everyone who has journeyed with Sun Life through the years: “The past 125 years have been made meaningful by the many promises we’ve kept, dreams we’ve fulfilled, and lives we’ve made brighter. We celebrate all these, and look forward to doing it for another 125 years and more.”
