The local government of Tarlac province has signed a memorandum of agreement with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) for a 52-hectare property within New Clark City.

Five hectares of the land will be allocated for Tarlac’s offices while the rest will house the provincial government’s other institutional facilities.

Under the agreement, the Tarlac local government unit was given a year to prepare the detailed development plan for the 52-ha property.

“It is important for us to have a partnership with the provincial government because we want New Clark City to be the most inclusive development in the country,” Dizon said.

“Finally, we now have a place in the center [of the] biggest hub, the most vibrant place in Central Luzon. To be part of it and to be in it is such an honor and privilege for the Tarlaceños,” Governor Yap said.

Located in Capas, Tarlac, New Clark City has garnered strong interest from local and foreign investors, especially following the hosting of the 30th Southeast Asian Games, the BCDA claimed.

Phase 1A of the New Clark City development was the site of the world-class sports facilities used in the SEA Games.
