Fairways & Bluewater has swiftly become Boracay’s destination of choice for local and foreign tourists alike, a self-contained, secure, private and exclusive resort complex that offers a complete array of world-class facilities and amenities. All the recognitions it has received in the past 12 months have propelled it to be the best homegrown Filipino brand resort.

The year started with its accreditation as the first and only Boracay property to acquire three ISO certifications in one swing among which are the ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System, ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System certificates (ISO-IMS).

The ISO-IMS Accreditation was only the beginning of great things to come. Fairways & Bluewater sustained its momentum by becoming the first and most significant Boracay partner of World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWF Philippines) with its 700 new “earth warriors”. The resort was even recognized by the organization for its pledge to reduce 1.2 million Single-Use Plastics (SUPs) in a year. Through this effort, Fairways & Bluewater further strengthened its commitment in promoting environmental conservation and sustainable tourism in the country.

In October, Fairways & Bluewater was handpicked to be included in Condé Nast Johansen’s exclusive list of top 300 luxury resorts in the world, and is one of only three establishments in Boracay selected to receive such a distinction.  Condé Nast Johansens is the foremost leading, most trusted and legitimate London-based reference guide for over 35 years for luxury hotels, spas and venues around the world.

That same month, Fairways & Bluewater was awarded, for the 5th time, at the annual World Golf Awards as the “Best Golf Hotel in the Philippines” at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The World Golf Awards is an international organization that celebrates & rewards excellence in golf tourism.

Fairways & Bluewater distinguishes itself as the premier fully integrated resort community in Boracay. It has achieved yet another milestone when, for the second time, the resort received the Ctrip 2019 Golden Dolphin Award for Service Excellence last November 14, 2019. Ctrip is the largest online travel agency in China and one of the largest travel service providers in the world.

The last quarter of 2019 further reaffirmed Fairways & Bluewater’s trajectory as four outstanding employees from the resort were declared finalists in the 24th Mabuhay Awards Night held last November 18, 2019 at Manila Marriott Hotel. The prestigious service awards are given to the outstanding men and women in the hospitality industry that have demonstrated Filipino values and have showcased significant contributions to their respective hotels and resorts. Fairways & Bluewater is undeniably run professionally by top-notch employees and leaders in the industry to become the best in their corresponding areas of expertise.

In the same month, Fairways & Bluewater was awarded the Top 4-star Hotel Partner 2019 Award by one of the world’s largest travel platforms, Expedia Group Philippines. It is a huge honor to be the only property in the whole of Boracay and the entire Visayas region to be given such. These awards are given to top-selling properties that consistently exhibit service excellence.

Just before the year ends, Fairways & Bluewater passed its first ISO 3rd party surveillance audit for the 1st year of implementation with flying colors. Veritas Assurance, the Dubai-based ISO certifying body, said “We are genuinely pleased to announce that Fairways & Bluewater Boracay delivered its first ISO-IMS annual surveillance audit in the most earnest fashion. The resort passed the accreditation because of its compliance to quality and excellence — considering that this is their first time to use the ISO standards. Kudos to all the dedicated staff who have poured their hearts and minds in getting things done.”

This 2020, Fairways & Bluewater will launch Villa Augusta, the newest addition to their first-rate villas which houses 135 stylish, well-appointed rooms and suites, as well as its seventh swimming pool and largest natural vertical garden in Boracay. This is the first of many planned developments that Fairways & Bluewater will offer to valued guests.

2019 was a year of unprecedented growth. Fairways & Bluewater has been commended by local and national government officials and prestigious international organizations. With its assortment of accolades and achievements in the past year, Fairways & Bluewater has made its mark when it comes to quality and customer service. The resort is preparing for a brand new chapter in 2020. The continuous learning and pursuit of excellence is the driving force for all the management and staff to keep the momentum and outdo what Fairways & Bluewater has accomplished in the past year.
