Gokongwei group-led conglomerate JG Summit Holdings is diversifying into the logistics business in partnership with global logistics giant Deutsche Post Beteiligungen Holding GMBH (DHL).
JG Summit, DHL and ACCRAIN Holdings Corp. entered into a joint venture to create DHL Supply Solutions Inc., which will provide what the proponents pitched to be the “best-in-class” transport and distribution solutions for Philippine-based and international businesses.
“The Philippines economy is expected to grow by 6 percent year-on-year and businesses will need to invest in world-class logistics and warehousing services to stay ahead of the competition,” said Lance Gokongwei, president and chief executive officer of JG Summit.
