Avida: Homeowners’ best bet in Luzon

/ 04:18 AM November 16, 2019

HomeownersWell-deserved is the feat. For nearly three decades now, Avida Land has been loyal to the middle-income Filipino, exhibiting an impeccable mastery of their needs and dedicating itself to projects that value quality.

As early as 1990, Avida Land’s’s predecessor, Laguna Properties Holdings Inc., laid the foundation for excellence in building middle-income housing units and communities. A passion for the very segment it serves made the company well-loved, from the moment it began its first subdivision project in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, to the time it forayed into residential condominium projects in 2003, up until it rebranded itself as Avida, which means “to celebrate life.”

With brand values intact, Avida Land has become unrivaled in the mid-market segment over the years, marching on now with an impressive oeuvre of 92 projects in 25 thriving locations nationwide. Leadership has not bred complacency, however. Avida Land has continued to tread new territories, covering the diverse needs of an ever-growing market.

Projects now range from land and house, condominiums, office property development to integrated mixed-use communities and districts, among others. It wants to engage in projects that are integrated, master-planned and sustainable.

With its heart in the right place, it can now claim leadership based on two reliable aspects: industry leadership and brand preference. No better is this affirmed than through The Outlook 2019: Philippines Buyers’ Choice Property Awards, presented by Lamudi and co-presented by Philippine Daily Inquirer Property and Holcim.

HomeownersSince 2017, the rites recognized leading industry projects and developers in the Philippines. The citations have been given out to projects and developers that passed rigorous screening from industry experts, and finally underwent a vote from 10,000 active property seekers. At this year’s awards night, held on Nov. 14, Avida Land took home two awards.

Its first win is the Best Premium Condominium of the Year 2019 for Luzon. The citation is presented to a premium condominium project in Luzon (with an average unit price between P100,000 and P180,000 per square meter) that combines quality and value with high-end concept and design.

The award went to Avida Towers Makati Southpoint, set to rise along Chino Roces Avenue in Makati, a hot address for on-the-go professionals. The location makes it near offices, schools, commercial establishments, parks and museums.

Units have floor space between 23.30 sqm and 38.2 sqm ready for telephone, cable television and internet. Toilet fixtures are water-efficient. The building features include a central lobby, CCTV in common areas, fire alarm and protection mechanisms. It has a rainwater harvesting facility and uses low solar heat gain glass windows.

Amenities include a clubhouse, multifunction area, open lounges, a pool and play area for kids, an indoor gym, jogging path and wellness area.

Dominating the category of Best Affordable House in Luzon is Avida Southfield Settings Nuvali. The award recognizes the affordable housing project in Luzon (with an average unit price of up to P50,000 per sqm) that best matches moderate pricing with excellence in concept, design, amenities and facilities.

HomeownersLocated in Calamba, Laguna, Avida Southfield Settings is the fourth and latest sequel to the successful Avida Settings series in Nuvali. It is a perfect fit for individuals and budding families who want to live in a healthy, secure suburban community.

Homes range from 52 to 85 sqm. The whole development has a one-hectare amenity area with a multipurpose hall, adult and kiddie swimming pools, a basketball court, children’s park and playground, and landscaped parks and open spaces.

In the 2018 edition of The Outlook Awards, Avida Land’s Asten Towers was named Best Premium Condo of the Year for Trust and Reputation of Developer in Luzon.

The awards add to an extensive haul of recognitions from different award-giving bodies in the Philippines and abroad. Channeling that victory to further build itself up, Avida Land will continue raising industry standards for affordable dream homes and communities with a great sense of accountability to the middle-income Filipino.
