Megaworld to build new condo near University Belt

Tycoon Andrew Tan-led property developer Megaworld Corp. has unveiled a P5.2-billion fresh residential property inventory near Manila’s University Belt area.

To rise on the San Lazaro Tourism and Business Park in Sta. Cruz, Manila, by 2024, the 34-story Kingsquare Residence offers 961 units of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom configurations.

“This new residential development is perfect for students, teachers, doctors and other professionals, including families who have kids studying within the area. It is very close to schools and universities, hospitals, and soon, a mall that will have a direct connection for residents,” Wilson Sy, first vice president for sales and marketing at Megaworld Manila, said in a press statement.

Kingsquare Residence is close to popular educational institutions such as University of Sto. Tomas, University of the East, Far Eastern University, San Beda University, Mapua Institute of Technology and Centro Escolar University, among others. It is also close to some of Manila’s finest Chinese schools such as Chiang Kai Shek College, Hope Christian School, St. Stephen High School and Philippine Cultural High School, among others.

The residential property is also near key medical and health facilities such as UST Hospital, Chinese General Hospital and the Metropolitan Medical Center.

The developer is also pitching close proximity to major transport hubs. —DORIS DUMLAO-ABADILLA
