The Lamudi Outlook Awards: And the survey says…

The Outlook Awards is less than one week away, and no one is more excited about it than me.

But before we get too excited about the gala happening on Nov. 14 at the Makati Shangri-La, let’s take a look at one of the most crucial parts of the nomination process—the survey.

This is the step in the process that makes The Lamudi Outlook Awards truly representative of the choices of the property seeker market.

Real buyers’ choice

As the Philippine Buyers’ Choice Property Awards, we would be remiss if we didn’t ask the buyers themselves about their opinion, which makes all the difference when choosing the winners.

We were lucky to get a hold of some of the most trusted names in the real estate industry to be our panel of judges, and they have lent us their expertise in choosing which of the nominated developments fit the bill for the categories assigned to them.

In the end, we got the most notable developments vying for the awards for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, as well as Special Awards and Grand Awards.

Survey process

The survey process is an important step that determines which of the nominees made a mark in the eyes of property seekers who were active on Lamudi. We see an average of 150,000 monthly leads and 6.5 million pageviews in a month. From that number, we took a sample of 10,000 property seekers to ask for their opinion.

We didn’t just choose the respondents randomly; we asked seekers based on their activity on the platform.

A property seeker looking for a house and lot would have an idea about house and lot developments, but not necessarily condominiums, so we made sure to keep the category in mind when calling our survey respondents.

Giving recognition where recognition is due

The survey process gives Lamudi an unmatched insight into the thoughts of Philippine real estate buyers. We give them a platform not just to buy the property of their dreams, but also to voice out their thoughts.

And we also make sure developers who have been paying attention get the recognition they deserve.

Demand for real estate is high all over the country. We have seen this in the 30 percent increase in the total number of developments, majority of which came from Visayas and Mindanao.

We have also seen this in the growing number of listings on the platform in the last five years.

However, it is not simply a matter of “build and they shall come”—not when each property seeker has to think of their lifestyle and their personal motivations when buying a home.

This is where supply meets demand. When it comes to the end users, the property seekers, the top factor to consider is how the development answers their pain points, whether they are looking to be more sustainable or they want to be close to everything they need in their locale.

Knowing 10,000 property seekers chose the developments that fit their needs is what The Lamudi Outlook Awards is all about.

The whole 150+ team of Lamudi is excited to see who will win this year’s most coveted awards and what their developments reveal for the future of Philippine real estate. Best of luck to all the shortlisted nominees.
