PLIA names Hans Loozekoot as new president
The Philippine Life Insurance Association (PLIA) has named Hans Loozekoot the new president of the association.
Loozekoot is president and CEO of Troo, the life insurance joint venture of Ageas and EastWest Bank.
He succeeds Dr. Olaf Kliesow, who has moved to Munich, Germany, for his new Allianz posting.
Almost 25 years ago, Loozekoot joined Ageas, a listed international insurance group with headquarters in Belgium.
For the last 12 years, Loozekoot has worked in Asia.
“Hans will bring his international experience to the PLIA,” said George Mina, general manager of PLIA.
Over the years, Loozekoot has held various senior management positions in the domains of sales, finance and strategy across different businesses of Ageas. Loozekoot is a Dutch national and holds a degree in economics.
Since 2015, he has also been a fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors in the Philippines.
