These are some of the descriptions of guests who were in awe of the newly launched office of AirAsia Philippines at the NAIA Terminal 3.
Located at the mezzanine floor, which is between the Arrival and the Departure areas of Terminal 3, the place is called RedPoint. It is where the Allstars, the collective name for the crew and other personnel of AirAsia, will converge.
The Philippine headquarters of AirAsia, named as the world’s Best Low Cost Airline by Skytrax for the 11th consecutive year, is designed to foster open communication, creativity and innovation as the firm embarks on a transformation journey to become more than just an airline.
RedPoint features transparent and open space design and technology; themed rooms according to seasons—winter, spring, summer and autumn; individual collaboration zones; as well as creative lounges.
AirAsia Philippines key shareholders, Deputy Speaker Michael “Mikee” L. Romero and F&S Holdings chair and AirAsia Philippines vice chair Sheila Bermudez Romero, were joined by AirAsia Group Berhad executive chairman Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, AirAsia Philippines chairman Atty. Jomar Castillo and AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricardo Isla to welcome special guests led by Sen. Manny Pacquiao and wife Jinky, Transport Secretary Arthur Tugade and Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, as well as members of the diplomatic community, business leaders, media and young influencers.
In his message, Isla said: “As Asia’s largest low-cost carrier, the opening of RedPoint signifies a new era for AirAsia in the Philippines. Its new and stylish working environment has been specifically designed to break down departmental silos, inspire collaboration, foster creativity and enhance teamwork. The new office space is an expression of AirAsia’s core values, especially of putting our people first who eventually deliver what our guests want and expect.”
The office includes hammock and swing areas, as well as a gym. The company moves to Redpoint from the Salem Complex near NAIA Terminal 4.
This fun environment also calls out to visitors to be bolder and more daring, to discover and to be more curious about the wonders of the world. After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests went on a tour of this office-cum-landmark, which is certainly an experience in itself.
Truly inspiring and motivating, with cool messages and wall designs of destinations.
Osaka and Bacolod are new destinations for this low-cost carrier.
Meanwhile, Romero spoke of how AirAsia Philippines grew in 2010 with only two A320s. This year, the company marks a banner year, achieving 91 percent load factor for the entire year. It projects to serve over 10 million customers by yearend.
For her part, Sheila was a picture of immense energy as she narrated her vision for the company: “More planes will arrive, more frequency of flights, more exciting destinations like Narita and Honolulu, more sumptuous food from our in flight meals, and definitely more well-trained and beautiful flight attendants who beam our brand image—vibrant and energetic.”
She added,: “We are driven by our desire to continuously provide utmost convenience and ease in travel, from the speed of getting a booking confirmation to checking in, from satisfaction in your flight experience to swift disembarkation and pick up of luggage.”
She also shared that the company is the market leader in a good number of routes, including Puerto Princesa, Tacloban, Kalibo and Caticlan
She joined her husband in saluting the Allstars, the men and women of Philippines AirAsia. “All these cannot be possible without the able leadership of our management team and most certainly, without the precious efforts, inputs and cooperation by our AllStars team. These are your achievements. Because of you, today, we soar high,” she added.
