MANILA, Philippines – Premium Italian watch brand D1 Milano showed its support to
Ride PH’s annual event, the Philippine Moto Heritage Weekend, by sponsoring the
prizes for the event and for this year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) held at
the Metrotent Convention Center in Metrowalk Plaza Meralco Avenue, Pasig, on
September 28-29.
Organized annually by Ride PH, the Moto Heritage Weekend is a two-day event that
features the rarest and most valuable vintage motorcycles in the Philippines, including
those that have been thoroughly and conscientiously restored.
The event was also the culmination venue of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, a
yearly after-event fundraising initiative that raises awareness for prostate cancer and
male suicide prevention. Founded in 2012 by Mark Hawwa in Sydney, Australia, the
Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride aims to strip away the negative stereotype of bikers,
connect enthusiasts, and support men’s physical and mental health by encouraging the
riders to be in their smartest suits and ties.
For this year’s DGR, D1 Milano awarded 3 of the 30 limited-edition chronograph
watches to the winners of the Best Dressed Man, the Best Dressed Woman, and the
RIDE PH Best Looking Bike of the Moto Heritage competition.
Aside from sponsoring the prizes, the fastest-growing watch brand also shared a sneak
peek of what motorbike enthusiasts will witness at the D1 Milano Italian Bike Ride by
soft-launching the D1 Milano Chronograph Watch, which will be officially launched
during the event in November. D1 Milano sold 27 of the 30 limited-edition watches over
the weekend, all of which were engraved with Vintage Rider Manila logo as a
collaboration to create the first limited-edition Chronographs for the Philippine market
and the first collaboration of the D1 Milano brand with the Philippines.
Popular for its bold and striking design, D1 Milano watches are also known for its
elegance and contemporary styling. D1 Milano was founded in Milan, Italy in 2013,
through the careful guidance of its 26-year-old CEO Dario Spallone. D1 Milano is

GCC, and many others. Locally, the D1 Milano is available in Wrist_Pod, Swiss Gear,
and Chronos watch stores nation-wide as well as in the 2 stores of Vintage Rider Manila

“We are honored and proud to be one of the sponsors at this event, to partner with
Vintage Rider Manila, and to be a part of the motorcycle community in the Philippines.
We believe that it is a great avenue to unite Filipino bikers and communities while
raising funds to support men all over the world to raise awareness on prostate cancer
and mental health,” shared Manuel Dacanay, D1 Milano’s Philippine distributor.
