NPC, PSALM ordered to pay claims of terminated employees

/ 05:14 AM October 03, 2019

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Audit (COA) has ruled that the National Power Corp. (NPC), through the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (PSALM), is liable for the money claim of employees terminated in 2002 due to the overhaul of the power sector under the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (Epira).

In a Sept. 23 decision made public on Wednesday, the COA partially granted the money claim of the employees, most of whom were union members.
