Listed technology company Easycall Communications Philippines is hoping to lure more business customers as it announced a partnership with security firm Thycotic.
Thycotic is a global provider of privileged access management (PAM) solutions. These are mainly used by IT administrators and developers who have access to critical and sensitive information, which are choice targets for cybersecurity attackers.
“Thycotic’s PAM product is a state-of-the-art solution, and we are very pleased to be a partner of Thycotic here in the Philippines,” Easycall president Zaki Delgado said in a statement.
He said the tie-up would allow Easycall to meet growing demand for “reliable cybersecurity solutions for enterprises.”
According to Easycall, Thycotic’s PAM technology allows organizations to secure data and protect privileged accounts on both endpoints and servers.
Thycotic’s products are used by over 10,000 organizations worldwide, Easycall added.

Easycall, a major player in the pager boom in the ’90s, earlier announced its intention to focus on data technologies.
The company is controlled by the Delgado family’s TDG Ventures Inc. In 2018, Easycall posted P63.3 million in revenues, most of which coming from managed internet services, IT equipment subscription fees and support maintenance.
The company is profitable as it posted a net income of P55.45 million last year, or a gain of over 400 percent. Profitability increased after it acquired an 11.76-percent stake in TDG Ventures. —MIGUEL R. CAMUS
