Globe connects with Araneta Center to provide fast and reliable internet across the complex
As Araneta Center establishes itself as an “online-enabled business district,” Globe teamed up with the Araneta Group to expand its GoWiFi services and provide fast and reliable internet connectivity in the 65-year-old lifestyle complex.
During the recent launch of Araneta Center GoWiFi held at Gateway Mall, Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu shared that as more people rely on mobile data these days, they want to make sure that everyone in the Philippines will have access to fast and reliable internet to make the most out of their digital lifestyle.
“This partnership with Araneta Center will allow more customers to enjoy free WiFi services using Globe’s high-speed GoWiFi service and make their shopping—and internet surfing—truly a one-of-a-kind experience,” said Cu.
In the age of rapid digital transformation where consumers and today’s generation of mall-goers develop much more sophisticated needs—which require fast and efficient wireless technology—the demand for accessible internet connection in public places continues to grow. Araneta Center’s SVP for Business Development John Peter Castelo shared that Globe’s GoWiFi will allow their shoppers and visitors to enjoy online-enabled services and features suited to their needs.
“The use of internet for social media, entertainment, and in making lifestyle choices, including banking has never been more prevalent. Araneta Center is happy to collaborate with Globe in providing fast, reliable, and seamless WiFi facility throughout our estate,” Castelo said.

GoWiFi is the country’s largest WiFi service in the country that aims to provide customers better WiFi experience with speeds of up to 100Mbps depending on the location–available to all users regardless of network, whether Globe, Touch Mobile, Smart, Talk N Text, and even international numbers.
With 2,500 GoWiFi sites across the country, up by 500 sites from the previous year, Globe continues its expansion plans nationwide, particularly in high-traffic areas like malls, hospitals, and schools to make high-quality internet connection accessible and affordable to more Filipinos.
Aside from adding Araneta Center to their growing GoWiFi hotspot locations in the country, Cu also shared that they are continuously enhancing their offers as the WiFi network becomes “…more prevalent, more expansive, more ubiquitous.”
GoSAKTO, GoSURF, and TM EasySURF subscribers can now enjoy free 1GB access when they register worth P50 and up, and connect to any of the 2,500 hotspots all over the country.
