The creation of a new division that focuses on the medical aesthetic industry is the highlight of the year for Technolux Equipment and Supply Corp. as the company celebrates its 44th anniversary. While Norell Ortega, Technolux’s vice president for sales for FoodService Manila and Medical Aesthetic divisions, acknowledges that their latest venture is hardly novel, what they bring to the table is a promise that no other supplier has, so far, delivered: quality after-sales service.

“We did a study and discovered that while there is a lot of competition out there, one thing remains missing: after-sales service,” Ortega says. “Clients have to bring the machines to the suppliers’ regional office, which is usually abroad, and sometimes the parts are unavailable.”

Ortega adds that after-sales service is part of Technolux’s core values and company culture, and therefore, sets them apart from other existing suppliers of medical aesthetic equipment.

“Our business doesn’t begin and end with a sale; it’s a whole process of taking care of our customers. We provide and deliver professional and personalized service before, during and after a customer’s requirements are met,” Ortega says.

FEATURED STORIES

All this talk is backed by Technolux’s round-the-clock call center facility that responds to inquiries or requests 24/7, plus a fleet of motorcycle-riding technicians who are deployed immediately to assist customers whenever needed.

Like its service, Technolux’s equipment doesn’t compromise on quality. They source mostly US and Korean brands such as Sineson Vesta, which manufactures infrared saunas; the Cocoon Wellness Pro pod, a sauna/massage bed that also makes use of infrared heat to aid in weight loss (they claim one 40-minute session burns 800 calories); VMax, maker of high-intensity focus ultrasound machines used for face lifts; Lipolase, low-level diode lasers; and ZenPro CO2 Fractional Lasers, which is used for scar and pigment treatment.

Technolux’s Medical Aesthetic division will also offer dental chairs and panoramic dental X-rays. Equipment prices range from P100,000 to P2 million.

The company invites interested buyers to visit their showroom on the fifth floor of their headquarters in Makati City (2176 Primo Rivera St. in Brgy. La Paz) in order to test these machines themselves.

Ortega says even their employees are welcome to use the machines.

“We really like to test the products ourselves, and to really train our technicians, because one mistake would be devastating to our business. We also built the showroom to really introduce clients to the machines,” he adds.

Technolux’s Medical Aesthetic division is currently targeted toward mid-size to large commercial institutions. Down the line, however, Ortega says they plan to offer products more suited to small business owners. There are even plans to create complete business packages—which include physical setup of small medical aesthetic treatment centers—to help such entrepreneurs.

“Not only do we provide our clients the products that they need, we also work closely with them as they grow their health, beauty, aesthetic and wellness businesses,” Ortega says. —ANNELLE TAYAO-JUEGO
