Megaworld creates another first for Kapampangans

Megaworld creates another first for KapampangansIts growing potential as an economic powerhouse has become all the more apparent in the last several years.

While the province of Pampanga, dubbed as the culinary capital of the Philippines, has long been attracting its fair share of businesses in past decades, there seems to be a frenzied influx of investors now, all wanting to claim a stake here in anticipation of bigger, better prospects in the future.

Such optimism is anchored largely on the completion of crucial infrastructure projects that are seen to fuel growth and provide further impetus to the local economy of Pampanga and the whole of Central Luzon.

These include the Clark International Airport, which is targeted to become the first airport in the country to secure a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification from the US Green Building Council, and the North-South Commuter Railway, a 163-km suburban railway network stretching from New Clark City in Tarlac to Calamba, Laguna in the south. Add to this the ongoing developments within the 9,450-ha New Clark City, which is designed to be the country’s first smart, green, disaster-resilient metropolis.

Economic momentum

The capital city of Pampanga is similarly gearing up for all these expected developments over the next several years, preparing to ride that new wave of growth and progress.

The City of San Fernando, after all, is the government seat of Central Luzon that mirrors a similar economic momentum. Regarded as the center of commerce and trade in the region, this 6,774-ha city capital was touted as a “growing agro-industrial-commercial metro-polis” that is “economically competitive” given its strategic location within the Manila Clark-Subic Economic Triangle.

The city’s proximity to the critical infrastructure projects such as the new Clark Airport, and railways that will traverse through Pampanga will further boost the accessibility of San Fernando not just to the nearby provinces, Metro Manila and the rest of the country, but more so to the rest of the world.

Urban township

But what is good about a progressive city such as San Fernando is that while it offers a bustling landscape and modern conveniences to the Kapampangans, its historic traditions, rich cultural heritage and suburban vibe provide a slice of the rural life. And that balance between modernity and tradition makes San Fernando an even more conducive place to reside in and raise a growing family.

And it’s here in this capital city that property giant Megaworld Corp. is bringing its signature live-work-play concept through its first integrated urban township in the North.

Set to rise on the former site of the historic sugar central of the Pampanga Sugar Development Co. (Pasudeco), the 35.6-ha Capital Town will feature residential towers, a neo-classical shophouse district, mall, museum, leisure parks, cyberpark as well as wide avenues and boulevards that would connect it to the major highways in the city that lead to North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) and the Clark International Airport, which is just 30 minutes away.

Recently, Megaworld launched in this township its second residential project that is set to offer many “firsts” to future residents—innovations that would raise the benchmark anew in vertical residences.

The 16-storey Bryant Parklane will have features and amenities that will be distinctly unique—deemed to be the first of their kind in Pampanga.

The 16-storey Bryant Parklane will have features and amenities that will be distinctly unique—deemed to be the first of their kind, not only in Pampanga, but across Megaworld developments as well.

Unparalleled features

A key highlight, for instance, will be Bryant Parklane’s lobby, which will feature bi-level functional shared spaces, a receiving area, daycare center with a hammock area, Turf Lounge, Pingpong Café and library. Forming part of the lobby’s unique design will be the indoor bike racks that will be installed.

Beyond having these “firsts” at Bryant Parklane, the features are expected to better foster a sense of community since the lobby is expected to be a venue where residents can gather and hang out at any time of the day.

Topnotch amenities such as pools, function hall, indoor and outdoor fitness centers, outdoor lounge, play area and jogging path, can be found at the third level, where you can also revel in the stunning, calming views of the Zambales Mountain Range, Mount Arayat, San Fernando’s cultural cityscape, and the township’s green parks. For the convenience of its residents, the tower will also house a curated array of retail shops at the ground level of the tower.

A total of 463 units will be on offer, with sizes ranging from 28.5 sqm to 41 sqm. Select units have a balcony and lanai.

Last year, Megaworld also unveiled its first residential development, the 12-storey Chelsea Parkplace, which takes cue from New York City’s charming apartments and structures. All 193 units will have balconies, offering sweeping views of the township.

Indeed, there is no better time than today to be right where the action is: in the capital city of Pampanga, where a new wave of growth and progress is set to sweep the province and the whole region. And it bodes well to be in a pioneering project such as the Bryant Parklane, where an enhanced lifestyle awaits future residents.
