The search for “MAP Management Man of the Year” involves a tedious process.
Nominations are generated from the membership, with the help of the MMY Search Committee.
The nominees then go through a rigid screening by the MMY Judging Committee which, as provided for in the MAP by-laws, is composed of selected past presidents and past awardees. With the exception of the chair and the vice chair, the names of the members of the MMY Judging Committee are not announced until such time that the search process has been completed.
To ensure a wide search of potential awardees, the MAP board of governors has institutionalized a MMY Search Committee, headed by MAP’s immediate past president, to identify and propose nominees for the Award. The MMY judging committee serves as the board of judges that chose the most deserving candidate for this year.
This year’s awardee is the 35th recipient of the award.
