DDT Sky Tower: Structure of grandeur
Launched on Thursday at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, the 60-storey DDT Sky Tower is set to redefine the way office buildings are built within this thriving city, where various businesses and industries already have a strong presence.
And if the unveiling of the DDT Sky Tower scale model were an indication of how grand this new development would be, then it would definitely not disappoint. With world class performances showcased throughout the night to entertain its guests, DataLand Inc., the proponent behind the DDT Sky Tower, managed to provide a glimpse of this iconic landmark’s grandeur and magnificence.
DDT Sky Tower is DataLand’s first foray in the office space segment. With projects ranging from residential, hospitality to township properties, this premium property developer has now decided to venture into a new segment to provide businesses a quality “home” beyond basics.

Andrea Tamayo-Ulep said in her speech during the launch.
“Tonight, we are about to unfold our flagship property under DataLand Offices: the DDT Sky Tower. Rising 60 stories, the DDT Sky Tower is set to become the highest skyscraper along Edsa, an iconic landmark of the Quezon City skyline,” Tamayo-Ulep claimed. “Thoughtfully masterplanned to support extensive IT based operations (that give) rise to employment opportunities and a vibrant economy, the DDT Sky Tower aims to serve as a home to some of the most successful (business process outsourcing) companies and corporate offices in the country to date.”
Situated on more than 5,000 sqm of prime commercial land in Quezon City, the DDT Sky Tower will provide future locators convenient access to main thoroughfares and various transport hubs. It will also be just a few minutes away are from some of Quezon City’s premier recreational hubs and leisure centers, including Eton Centris, SM North Edsa, Trinoma, Philippine Heart Center, Araneta Center, Fisher Mall, Maginhawa Street’s food parks, Timog Avenue’s and Tomas Morato’s cafes and restaurants, and Ayala Techno-Hub.
“The DDT Sky Tower provides convenient access to transportation hubs, financial institutions, entertainment and recreational venues, retail centers and business districts,” Ulep noted.
And since DDT Sky Tower is also near some of the country’s premier academic institutions such as University of the Philippines Diliman, Ateneo de Manila University, Miriam College, and Philippine Science High School, finding the ideal workforce should not be a concern for its locators who will have access to a pool of skilled graduates.
The DDT Sky Tower will have a total leasable office space of 115,000 sqm., reportedly the biggest in the industry. The DDT Sky Tower’s office spaces will be divided into three zones.
The high zone—which is from the 43rd floor to the 57th—is expected to have between 12 and 14 units per floor, with each unit ranging from 70 sqm to 349 sqm. The mid zone, which will occupy the 28th floor to the 41st floor of the tower, will have the same number of office spaces per floor as the high zone section. Sizes range from 93 sqm to 464 sqm. The building’s 16th floor to 27th floor comprise the low zone, which will have 14 units per floor. The sizes of office areas in this zone are between 93 sqm and 411 sqm.
Office units at the DDT Sky Tower are designed to be modular and can be easily reconfigured and combined with other office spaces depending on the needs of the clients. DDT Sky Tower is accredited by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority and is aiming to be LEED certified. Meanwhile, future tenants and locators will be provided will ample parking spaces with quick and easy access driveways, as well as retail shops and a food court area to further ensure convenience and comfort.
