The founders of three innovative Philippine enterprises — premium pet care producer Fetch! Naturals, home designer and builder CUBO Modular, and performance marketing firm Monolith Growth Consulting — landed on Forbes Asia Magazine’s 2019 roster of “30 under 30” game changers.

The annual list features 300 young disruptors, innovators and entrepreneurs across Asia, all under the age of 30, who are seen “challenging conventional wisdom and rewriting the rules for the next generation.”

The innovators from the Philippines are Monolith Growth founder Kenn Costales, Fetch! Naturals founder Georgianna Carlos, and CUBO Modular cofounders Earl Forlales and Zahra Halabisaz Zanjani.

Curated from 23 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region, the 300 entrepreneurs and game changers stood out for the right reasons, “from innovating in technology and disrupting age-old industries to demonstrating immense talent and dominating the world stage,” Forbes said.

They were chosen from over 2,000 entries, “heavily researched by a team of reporters and vetted by an A-list of judges,” the magazine said.

Only natural ingredients

Fetch! Naturals is a premium pet care brand that uses only natural ingredients. It is the first and only manufacturer of pet products made out of 100 percent neem and jicama aqueous extracts as their base.

Its products have been registered with the country’s Food and Drug Administration to certify that these are safe and pure.

The magazine reported that as an animal lover, Carlos noticed that her pets were increasingly having skin issues due to irritation caused by chemical-heavy products.

Since Carlos established Fetch! Naturals in 2016, the brand has opened two retail locations in Manila and Los Angeles, and the products can be found in over 30 locations across the Philippines.

Low-cost bamboo homes

Cubo Modular is a company which designs low-cost bamboo houses. The housing units can be manufactured in a week and constructed in just four hours.

In 2018, the company won the top £50,000 prize money from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors for its housing designs.

“The founders hope the company can tackle the shortage of accommodation in the Philippines with low-cost bamboo housing units. The original design for the units was inspired by the bamboo huts that Forlales’ grandparents had built,” Forbes said.

Monolith Growth Ventures is a performance marketing firm with offices in Singapore and Manila.

After years of working for Procter & Gamble, Costales founded the company in 2016 and it has since grown rapidly to 15 full-time staff.

The firm services leading global brands, such as Fitness First, The Boston Consulting Group, Sonos and Klipsch.
