Manila Water taps deep wells to address supply shortage

MANILA, Philippines – Manila Water Co. Inc. has started drawing raw water from 13 additional deep wells that altogether provide 15 million liters of water daily (MLD).

The company said in a statement it expected to tap more deep wells in the coming months to help address supply shortage in the East Zone concession area.

Manila Water said it has pared down its supply deficit by one-third from 150 MLD earlier this month to 100 MLD. /kga
