MANILA, Philippines – Price range of chicken should have dropped between P100 and P110 per kilo in the market during the first week of 2019, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez said Monday.
This developed as Lopez noted the decrease in farmgate price per kilo of chicken, ranging from P45 to P55.
Dapat mawala na ‘yang P120 to P140 per kilo,” he added.
Lopez said they will be meeting with market masters and local government units (LGUs) to help them implement the current pricing of chicken.
Lopez, however, said they do not have any news regarding adjustments for prices of pork and beef. /kga
