Wilcon Depot sees diverse opportunities and trends in the local retailing industry as it continues to help Filipino homeowners and builders in building big ideas for their homes.

The Philippines’ leading home improvement and construction supply retailer focuses on offering high quality brands, products and excellent customer service, as well as providing a unique, convenient and comfortable shopping experience for its valued customers.

In line with its commitment to help people build, improve and refine homes for a more sustainable and comfortable life, Wilcon opened 10 new retail outlets, eight big box stores and two small-format stores this year. These store openings brought Wilcon’s products and services closer to more people across the country.

On March 9, Wilcon opened its 41st branch: a Home Essentials store located at Green Acropolis Village, Bagumbayan, Quezon City. On April 20, Wilcon launched its 42nd retail store located in Tacloban City, Leyte, followed by the opening of a store in Silang City in Cavite last May 4.

Wilcon Depot strategically mapped out a back-to-back grand opening as it launched its first home construction retail outlet in the Bicol region in Naga City, Camarines Sur, on June 29 and its second retail store in Iloilo City, which is a Home Essentials store, located at the Festive Walk Mall, in Mandurriao on June 30.

On July 27, Wilcon opened its 46th branch located in Lipa City, Batangas, which counts as its second outlet in the province. This was followed by another store opening last Aug. 10 in Mindanao—specifically in Zamboanga City.

On Oct. 5, Wilcon officially opened its 48th retail store located in Tayabas, Quezon, followed by its 49th retail outlet in General Trias last Nov. 23. The latter was Wilcon’s fifth branch in the province of Cavite.

In celebration of Wilcon’s continued success, it marked another milestone in serving the Filipino homeowners and builders as it opened its 50th store located in General Santos City, South Cotabato yesterday (Dec. 14). Wilcon Depot General Santos is the company’s 5th retail outlet in Mindanao, following its previously opened stores in Matina, Davao, in 2009; Butuan City, Agusan del Norte and Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental in 2017; and Zamboanga City in August this year.

The grand opening of its new operating stores formed part of the company’s growth strategy to reach more key cities and provincial localities. This would allow Wilcon to directly respond to the growing customers’ demand for home building and construction supplies across the country.

The company’s retail network has now reached 50 stores nationwide, making it the most reliable one-stop shop for all homemakers’ needs. The retail giant has committed to continue helping provide sustainable homes and bring excellence and improvement to the quality of life of every Filipino.

Remaining as the market leader in the business, Wilcon Depot was thrown into the spotlight after bagging the 2018 Asean Business Awards (ABA) for Priority Integration Sector in Retail Category.
