Bringing European flair to your bedroom

THE FINEST among Sheridan’s collection is the 600-thread count white Pietro cotton sateen.

Your bedroom should be a place of refuge, the last space where you could be able to unwind, recover if not find peace after a hectic day at work, playing or traveling.

Considering that the bed is the focal point of this particular room, a well-designed bed could be an excellent way to start.

Bed linen maker and designer Sheridan came up with an ingenious way to make one’s bed a thing of elegance and beauty—incorporate a European flair to its most luxurious bed linen collections.

FEATURED STORIES

Sheridan has come up with a Deluxe and Easy Living collection that relives the Old World and its charms.

These distinctive line of bed liners are on display at the Level 4 Shangri-La Plaza, Rustan’s Makati and Alabang Town Center, MakeRoom Bonifacio High Street and Eastwood City.

Aubusson tapestries

With Longleat, the first of Sheridan’s designs from its Deluxe Living collection, perfumed gardens and pastoral scenes out of the tapestries of Aubusson will surely come to mind. It hopes to bring back images of the romantic age with such images of roses spilling out of urns surrounded by the soft outline of parkland trees.

Featuring a 400-thread count Supima cotton, this linen, bordered by muted rose and gold tones, promises to make a signature statement to anyone’s bedroom.

Baroque-inspired

VENETIA FEATURES scenes of old Venice hand-drawn by Sheridan’s own artists.

Another unique bed linen from Sheridan is the Baroque-inspired Attingham, a 400-thread count cotton sateen. Featuring flamboyant floral and scroll patterns in gold, copper and bronze, overlaid with a layer of silver shadow, the Attingham evokes antique interiors of European castles.

Another interesting collection is the Lutece, which features drawings of old London, detailing its roads, squares, parks and buildings in the rich monochrome combination of sepia and ivory framed. The linen is bordered in a dark carob border, creating a more masculine tailored finish.

Pietro, the last of the Deluxe Living designs, takes its inspiration from the delicate fretwork much favored in ancient Rome.

An interlocking geometric pattern is subtly woven onto a 600-thread count white cotton sateen, creating a luxurious pristine finish that is classic yet dazzling, making it the bed linen of choice for those demanding clients.

More whimsical

According to Sheridan, clients who prefer a more extravagant design while still wanting the wonders of Europe can choose from Sheridan’s Easy Living line of bed linen featuring Marvelle, Verner and Venetia.

Marvelle brings art into the bedroom as sketches of a Parisian café are brought to life in this 300-thread count cotton sateen bed linen.

An artist’s sketch of windows surrounded by leafy trellises, potted plants sitting on wooden benches, or an antique bike propped against the doorway dominate this linen.

Classic French toile

Inspired by the classic French toile, Verner’s black, white and pale linen features bouquets of roses and peonies. This design reverses to a neoclassical filigree pattern in gray ink to complete the look of casual yet polished elegance.

The third in the collection is the Venetia that features scenes of old Venice in postcard perfect detail. Among them are Basilica rooftops, gurgling fountains, and gondolas swaying under arched bridges.

These sketches, hand-drawn by Sheridan’s artists, are rendered in a monochromatic palette of cloudy blues and silvers on a crisp white background. Printed on 300-thread count cotton sateen, this design features over-scale stripes on the reverse for that chic contrast.
