Chinese shares slightly lower in morning trade

SHANGHAI – Chinese shares were down 0.10 percent in morning trade Friday, extending losses from the previous session when the benchmark index fell to a 31-month low, dealers said.

The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 2.32 points at 2329.05.
