BDO alerts clients vs phishing e-mails with ‘verify now’ link
Beware of phishing e-mails with a “verify now” link, Banco De Oro (BDO) Unibank warned its clients on Tuesday.
In a Facebook post, BDO alerted its clients against a fake e-mail and advised them not to click the “verify now” link which could “activate malware and give fraudsters direct access to personal data.”

It then instructed its clients to forward the fake e-mail to [email protected] and immediately delete the e-mail.
Article continues after this advertisementIt also urged its clients to report about the fake e-mail by posting it on their personal Facebook accounts, or commenting on or messaging the BDO Facebook page about it with hashtag #BDOAntiFraud.
BDO reiterated it would never ask its clients’ for their one-time password (OTP), personal identification number (PIN), or password. /kga
