PH prefab structures builder expands to Africa

Revolution Precrafted, a homegrown company that designs and builds prefabricated structures for clients around the world, said it would start producing medical pop-up structures.

In a statement, it said it had signed a non-exclusive dealership agreement with African Tsaleach Private Ltd., a Zimbabwe-based investment firm. This marks its first market in Africa and its 25th globally.

“We are excited about the market interest in our prefab structures. We are happy to expand to Africa because we believe that our structures can make a difference in the lives of the people in the continent,” Robbie Antonio, founder and CEO of Revolution Precrafted, said in a statement.

Antonio sees strong demand in this segment given the need for more medical facilities in the southern African country. Mosquito and water-borne diseases, along with other infectious conditions, affect thousands of locals in Zimbabwe every year. The company said the lack of medical centers made it difficult to administer treatment.

African Tsaleach initially ordered six industrial-type medical office facilities measuring at least 1,000 square meters each. These units will be converted to clinics and consultation centers to be stationed in Bulawayo, the second largest city in the country, with population of nearly 700,000.

“These medical centers will help medical workers in Zimbabwe reach out to the locals who are in much need of medical attention,” he said.
