Convenience is today’s new priceless luxury.

And there’s little to contest to that. Many of today’s urban home seekers—from the affluent, the professionals, entrepreneurs, to young families—have started to place a premium on exclusivity, convenience, mobility and accessibility, considered as luxuries amid the flurry and turmoil in the cities. Most are even more than willing to pay the price for such an address that will allow you to be right smack in the middle of everything modern and exciting, but still provide a luxurious sanctuary that’s conducive to raise families and create a holistic, well balanced lifestyle.

The Fifth, the first residential development of Megaworld subsidiary Global Estate Resorts Inc. in Ortigas, offers a much coveted address that will suit today’s affluent buyers, with their impeccable tastes and penchant for luxury. Comprising of two towers, The Fifth is truly the perfect complement to the urban, convenience-driven lifestyle.

“The Ortigas central business district (CBD) currently has the lowest residential vacancy rates among all of the CBDs in Metro Manila, which means that a lot of people see this as the perfect place to live in. We have noticed that Ortigas also has lower incoming supply of residential developments so we are taking this opportunity to launch and expand GERI’s first residential condominium development in Ortigas CBD,” explained Karen Arcilla, head of sales and marketing at GERI.

“Also, we’re looking into benefitting from the ongoing infrastructure developments connecting Pasig and Ortigas to other parts of Metro Manila. Through The Fifth, we would like to cater to more professionals, entrepreneurs and families who highly value time, accessibility, and convenience,” Arcilla added.

Indeed, as GERI unveiled the project details about The Fifth, so did it set out to transform the urban landscape anew and reshape one’s sense of a convenience-driven lifestyle—much like the concept behind “Renaissance.” Here are just some of the ways how The Fifth will do so.

1  Within 3-km radius

The strategic, premium location of The Fifth perhaps trumps all the pluses that can be had from this latest development from GERI.

Within a mere 3-kilometer radius from the Renaissance Towers complex, you’ll find practically everything you and your family will need. Offices in the Ortigas central business district, huge mall complexes, colleges, hospitals, major thoroughfares, public transport hubs and other key institutions are all within reach after a 10- to 15-minute drive. In fact, you can even easily walk to these nearby establishments if you fancy doing so.

For instance, St. Paul’s College-Pasig is just 1.1 km away from the Renaissance complex; Poveda College, 1.6 km; University of Asia and the Pacific, 1.4 km; The Medical City, 1.8 km; SM Megamall, 1.8 km; and MRT 3 Ortigas station, 1.6 km, to name a few.

It helps as well that The Fifth is near major thoroughfares like Edsa and C-5, thus making it easier to reach thriving CBDs and key cities such as Quezon, Pasig, San Juan and Mandaluyong.

2  Oasis of amenities

It bears noting that GERI and its parent firm Megaworld know their market well: the well-heeled market leading an active lifestyle and wants nothing less than convenience, exclusivity, privacy and security; the tech savvy needing to be online and on-the-go all the time; discerning, young executives with a taste for the finer things, and who prioritize work-life balance; and the established professionals wanting a sound, conducive community to raise their families.

Hence, GERI created a menu of recreational amenities that will suit these varying preferences. At The Fifth one will find a daycare, playground, Co-Lab working space, spa room, gym, coffee shop, a swimming pool and pool bar, sky lounge and viewing decks, cabanas, al fresco bar, lounging and yoga deck, whirlpool bathtubs and a function hall, among others.

“The Fifth will offer unique amenities that allow young professionals, start-up families and even millennials find time to slow down and relax at the end of each busy day. We are very excited about this new residential community,” Arcilla added.

3  Luxury of space

The Fifth will rise on a 3,715 sqm of space within the Renaissance complex. It will offer 793 spacious, well appointed units within two towers namely the 33-storey Astra and the 36-storey Luna. Unit cuts start with a studio of up to 37 sqm; one-bedroom (up to 86 sqm); two-bedroom (up to 137 sqm); and three bedroom (up to 229 sqm).

All units will have their own balconies offering cityscape views of Ortigas, Quezon City and the Antipolo mountains. The spacious cuts and smart floor plans will likewise afford future residents a well deserved respite after the end of long, hectic day.

While this is GERI’s first residential building in Ortigas, there’s a lot riding on its name. Apart from being a subsidiary of a property giant, whose thriving, sprawling townships across the country have provided topnotch offices, residences and commercial complexes, GERI has more than showcased its skills and competencies as a developer via its five tourism estates and two integrated lifestyle communities spanning across some 3,000 ha of premium land.

These include Boracay Newcoast in Boracay Island, Aklan (150 hectares); Twin Lakes in Alfonso, Batangas near Tagaytay (1,200 hectares); Southwoods City on the boundaries of Carmona, Cavite and Biñan, Laguna (561 hectares); Sta. Barbara Heights in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo (173 hectares); Alabang West in Las Piñas (62 hectares); Eastland Heights in Antipolo, Rizal (640 hectares); and The Hamptons Caliraya in Lumban-Cavinti, Laguna (300 hectares).
