IMT Asia 2018 will bring Asia’s Money Transfer & Payment Industry together
Manila, Philippines, September 17th, 2018 – From September 19th to 21st, Manila will be the host of IMTC ASIA 2018, the Remittance and Cross-Border Transfers Conference. The 3-day Conference created by IMTC (International Money Transfer & Cross-Border Payment Conferences) will unite International Money Transfer and Cross-Border Payments institutions, banks and other financial services providers, as well as technology-based firms and fintechs at the Crowne Plaza Galleria in Ortigas, in order to provide a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities of the industry in the Philippines.
In order to prepare this event, IMTC visited Manila back in May and had a round of visits with local institutions that will be attending the conference, for example Bangko Sentral, Bankers Association Of The Philippines (BAP), The Association Of Bank Remittance Officers, Inc. (ABROI), POEA, OWWA, Fintech Alliance Philippines, Rural Bankers Association Of The Philippines, Union Bank Of The Philippines, Philippine Payments Management Inc. The first day of IMTC ASIA 2018 will be solely dedicated to deepening knowledge and attendees will be able to choose between the Money Transfer Compliance Course and the Remittances Innovation Forum, both taught by top professionals in the industry. However, the second and third day will be dedicated to panels and roundtables addressing topics such as the current state of the industry, the role that banking institutions play in the Filipino remittance market, the challenges with banking access in the Philippines, the way Blockchain is changing the way financial institutions exchange information, remittances regulations, how to take care of migrants while taking care of overseas workers, among others.
