Sharing a vision, forging ties

It’s a partnership that could serve as a strong voice in the Philippine real estate industry.

The country’s top online property portal Lamudi Philippines has partnered with the Property Section of the Philippine Daily Inquirer to co-present The Outlook, an annual event that celebrates the most accomplished real estate projects and developers in the country.

Lamudi Philippines CEO Bhavna Suresh pointed out that the Inquirer is known to be an authentic source of news and is a strong brand that represents transparency and the true sentiment of the market, resulting in its more seasoned readership.

“The Property asset of the Inquirer is one of the strongest authorities in the real estate industry. Being the largest online platform catering to a younger and more connected audience, Lamudi can cover the entire spectrum of the industry by partnering with the Inquirer. This is the vision of The Outlook—to be a true representation of the pulse of the real estate market year on year,” Suresh explained.

“The Inquirer also brings to the table the channels to connect with and provide information to the masses and the property seekers. For our part, we have senior representatives sitting in the panel of judges to ensure that information is properly evaluated and all biases are negated. With the Inquirer co-presenting The Outlook, we believe we make a very strong voice for the real estate industry as a whole,” she further noted.

Inquirer Property Section editor Tek Samaniego meanwhile said they welcomed this exciting partnership, which will mark a first for the section.

“This is the Inquirer Property’s first major partnership for awards and we believe that this could not have come at a most opportune time, given the increasingly dynamic landscape of the Philippine real estate industry. We have been discerning in forging partnerships, but we believe in the integrity of The Outlook, thus making it an easy decision for us. Apart from having an esteemed panel of judges and the views of some 10,000 property seekers as basis, the rigorous process set by Lamudi further lends credibility to the awards,” Samaniego explained.

The Outlook by Lamudi, which had its first run last year, will showcase the top industry projects and developers in the Philippines for 2018 as selected by an esteemed panel of judges, and based on a survey to be conducted on 10,000 active property seekers.

“Lamudi, being the largest real estate platform in the Philippines, garners over 1.5 million property seekers on its platform in a month. This is the core of the data used to survey the right set of audience for the (report),” Suresh noted.

“Never before in the Philippines has data been used to the extent that it has with The Outlook. In a month, Lamudi generates over 10 million data points around the property seeker market on its platform. By using filters to navigate the website, seekers leave behind a trail of their preferences. Combining that with the power of being the platform that connects the seeker with the developer, The Outlook is an opportunity to acknowledge the best projects in the market by combining varied points of view,” Suresh further explained.

Lamudi believes that in recognizing the best players in the real estate industry benefits the developers and their projects as this serves as a testament to the company’s competence in this arena. At the same time, it provides property seekers with options as to which projects are worth considering, whether as an end user or a business investor.

A total of 18 awards will be given out during the gala night in Nov. 15 this year. This black-tie event is expected to be attended by the country’s top developers, and other stakeholders in the industry. Aside from the awards, the gala will also have industry leaders as keynote speakers who are expected to discuss current trends and the future of Philippine real estate.
