And a big reveal it was when property giant Megaworld Corp. finally “unboxed” Savoy Hotel Manila, the newest “airport hotel” to open its doors within the Newport City township.
Lorenzo Tang, general manager of Savoy Hotel Manila, explained that this hotel is all about setting unconventional standards that “highlight the luxurious comforts that business and leisure travelers look for in a home away from home.”
Tang pointed out that from a traditional perspective, Savoy is a 4-star hotel catering to the corporate market. At the same time, however, it offers a respite for many leisure travelers by providing them essentials for a more welcoming, relaxed ambience.

Guests can indulge in a culinary feast at the hotel’s different food and beverage outlets: Savoy Café, Zabana Bar, or The Poolside.
According to Tang, Savoy Hotel Manila offers several key unique points, from its rooms to its amenities and features.
Savoy has 684 rooms with sizes ranging from 23 to 27 sqm. From the most basic rooms (Essentials) to the comfortable executive suites (The Runway, The Space and The Deck), all rooms welcome travelers and staycationers who are looking for a much-deserved break in the heart of a bustling city.
Savoy likewise offers a first through its themed co-working spaces called The Squares, where people can either work or relax. In short, it’s designed for people who are constantly on-the-go and understand the value of meaningful pauses.
Tang said these spaces are located on several guest floors and are equipped with high-speed Internet connection and electricity ports, as well as books, express checkout counters and a snack corner. Guests can access this facility round-the-clock, allowing them to find their own spaces for casual group hangouts, intimate chats and meetings or even relax while reading a book or listening to music.
“We wanted to offer something unique to guests. Hotels have always been so conventional and stiff and The Squares challenges that norm,” Tang added.
Guests can also indulge in a culinary feast at the hotel’s different food and beverage outlets: the Savoy Café where guests can experience buffet dining featuring Asian and Western cuisines; Zabana Bar for cocktails and drinks; and The Poolside for after-swim chill and indulgence.
The hotel also has the Connect Lounge, exclusive for guests staying in the executive suite rooms. The lounge serves as an extension of Savoy Café where club guests can have breakfast and snacks, complete with facilities for work or relaxation.
