Sooner than you’d think, commuting from one district to the next will be a more than pleasant experience, one that you would look forward to everyday, as you go from home to work and back again. Thanks to two innovative solutions that have been already set in motion and an integral master-planned estate in Taguig, mobility around the metro will soon be a cinch.

In the past months, there have been a lot happening in Taguig in terms of development.  Two massive government projects—a 34-kilometer expressway and a world-class terminal—are well under way, promising a future of seamless connectivity. Ayala Land’s newest business and lifestyle district in Taguig, Arca South, lies in the center of all these innovations in city connectivity.

“As we develop Arca South, we ensure ease in mobility and seamless connection to these key cities and infrastructure” shared Ayala Land Project Development Manager, Stephen Comia.

At the start of the year, Citra Intercity Tollways,Inc. (CITI) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the South East Metro Manila Expressway, a 34-kilometer expressway that will connect CITI’s existing Skyway in Taguig to the Batasan complex. According to DWPH, the infrastructure is estimated to cost P45 billion and is targeted for completion by 2021. Once this government project is completed, ARCA South will only be one Skyway exit away.

A representative from the Department of Transportation has stated, “When completed, travel time of motorists from Bicutan, Taguig to Batasan, Quezon City will be reduced to a mere 35 minutes.”

The Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange (ITX) has broken ground in January 2018. Built with the intention to decongest EDSA and mark an improvement on the commuting experience, the Taguig ITX will stand inside a 5.6-hectare compound. The complex will boast a centralized ticketing area and a host of business and retail establishments, while serving an estimated 160,000 passengers on a daily basis. It is projected to host the provincial buses going to and coming from South Luzon, Bicol, and the Visayas and Mindanao areas.

And what about Taguig’s new estate? Soon to be touted as the gateway of the south, Arca South will be a highly networked business and lifestyle district, a visionary destination attuned with contemporary lifestyles, just 7 kilometers away from the Makati Central Business District. Access to Ayala Land’s master-planned estate will be easy for commuters everywhere as both projects are seamlessly linked to Arca South’s pedestrian and vehicular network. The estate’s infrastructure is now in place and ready to provide future access to vehicles from C5, Skyway or SLEX.

The excitement does not end with just these developments—there’s more.  Planned features of the mixed-use estate include 5 residential projects from Avida, Alveo, and Ayala Land Premier, that offer a broad range of residential options, and ARCA South Corporate Center will have six towers featuring 24/7 tenant operations for its lessees. As of this writing, there have been a total of over 3,200 units sold with a 93% in sales take up across all brands. Moreover, residents and visitors will soon enjoy the outdoor urban experience offered by ARCA Main Street, a 4.5 – ha. open space with jogging paths, playgrounds and convergence zones.

Aside from this, key companies are set to hold office in the next five years. Lastly, those who will flock to the estate will be delighted to experience an urban promenade, a central event area, a fitness park and an interactive family park in the future.
