Sometimes, just a few good hits at the course on a laidback weekend can be the perfect prelude to a grueling work week ahead. As an avid golfer, just seeing the lush greens of a well-manicured picturesque golf course, along with the fresh air and sunshine could do wonders in helping me unwind and in keeping me inspired to claim a hole-in-one.

Good thing the Philippines has a number of world-class golf courses where you can either simply enjoy a fun round to improve your swing or aim to become a seasoned pro.

One real estate firm that has long carved a niche in developing high quality and well designed golf courses is trusted brand Sta. Lucia Land Inc. For decades now, the company has managed to set itself apart from other developers by pioneering the creation of golf course developments. As it is, Sta. Lucia made a mark when it hosted in 1995 the prestigious international golf tournament, the Johnnie Walker Championship Tournament.

As the company continues to grow and gain a strong foothold in this segment, Sta. Lucia continues to improve and enhance its offerings to the benefit of avid golfers. Summit Point Residential Estates and Golf & Country Club is one development in the South that I particularly like. Located at the heart of the thriving City of Lipa, Summit Point serves as the perfect playground to any golfer given its cool climate and breathtaking scenery.

Spanning across 220 hectares of lush greenery, golfers and future residents will be accorded with stunning views of the Malarayat Mountain Range, amid the soothing sound of bamboo trees and bird species endemic in the area. With its well-manicured fairways, Summit Point makes for a perfect destination to hit the tee.

This golfers’ haven, which was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is the first-of-its-kind champion course in the country. It is inspired by other famous golf courses around the world. And recently, Summit Point opened the Community Clubhouse, the latest addition to the existing clubhouses within the development. Just this month, officials from its marketing arm, Royale Homes, welcomed guests, stakeholders and lead brokers in the blessing of the said facility, which promises an even better game for avid golfers like myself.

Meanwhile, Summit Point also features modern facilities that could perfectly enhance one’s lifestyle, as well as sports equipment and recreational facilities, including covered tennis courts, bowling center, basketball court, sauna and whirlpool and a gym—all of which can be enjoyed exclusively by members and homeowners alike.

So the next time you feel the need to hit the fairways, head over to Summit Point and who knows, you might just bag that perfect hole-in-one shot.
