Pioneer Insurance’s #MoveOnLang songwriting tilt wins Anvil awards

Pioneer Insurance together with the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers and its communications/public relations agency ComCo Southeast Asia bagged two Anvil awards at the recent 53rd Anvil Awards organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP).

Pioneer bagged two Silver Anvil awards for the Move On Movement. The campaign won in the category “Public Relations Programs on a Sustained Basis” under two subcategories: External Consumers, Communities, Special Interest/Advocacy Groups and Youth/Children’s Welfare.

Promoting resiliency and inspiring hope among the Filipino youth through arts and music, Pioneer’s #MoveOnLang Songwriting Competition won a Silver Anvil for External Consumers, Communities, Special Interest/Advocacy Groups category and another Silver Anvil under Youth/Children’s Welfare category.

Dubbed the Oscars of Public Relations, the Anvil is the symbol of excellence in Public Relations. It is awarded to outstanding public relations programs and tools after careful screening by select PR professionals and judging by a distinguished multisectoral jury.

After organizing successful competitions in filmmaking and playwriting that generated inspiring stories of friendship and hope, Pioneer Insurance launched a songwriting competition in 2016 through the #MoveOnLang campaign, which encouraged the youth to draw inspiration from their own personal stories and taught them to translate these into original song compositions.

“This campaign really means a lot to our company and we are delighted for this recognition by PRSP,” said Pioneer Life Inc. first vice president and marketing head Len Pozon. “Definitely, Pioneer Insurance will be more encouraged and inspired to support the arts through our initiatives and advocacy programs, and we’re extremely excited for our next.”

Sun Life coworking space named among best in Asia

Sun Life Financial Philippines, the top life insurance company in the Philippines, was recently recognized in the Herman Miller Liveable Office Awards for innovating its Manila headquarters, the Sun Life Centre in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Sun Life was named second runner-up in the Coworking and Collaborative Space category, specifically for the new look of its 9th and 12th floors, which were recently renovated to adapt an “open office space.”

The redesign, which had the renowned Goudie Associates at the helm, was in line with the company’s goal of promoting collaboration and productivity in the workplace. Sun Life was one of only nine winners honored in the awarding ceremonies held recently in Tokyo, out of over a hundred entries from all over Asia.

Organized by Herman Miller Asia Pacific, a globally recognized provider of furnishings and related technologies and services, the Liveable Office Awards aims to raise awareness on the importance of good workspace design for companies to leverage broader organizational goals.

“Together with our design team from Goudie Associates, we are delighted to receive this award from Herman Miller Asia Pacific,” Sun Life chief operations officer Karen Casas said. “Embracing change, even something as simple as redesigning a workplace, can be daunting. But by innovating the Sun Life Center’s design, we have made it more conducive for our employees, paving the way for us to be more effective in serving our clients.”
