Globe Telecom is rolling out its GCash mobile wallet in outlets of Shakey’s Philippines, one of the country’s largest pizza chains with over 200 branches nationwide.
Globe has been aggressively partnering with various businesses to increase the use of GCash as more consumers opt to go cashless.
The partnership with Shakey’s includes the rollout of GCash’s scan-to-pay QR platform and a toll-free delivery option for Globe mobile and landline subscribers. The hotline number is #77777.
“Our partnership with Globe Telecom maximizes our opportunities to offer a full range of order and delivery services to our guests,” said Vicente Gregorio, CEO of Shakey’s Pizza Asia Venture Inc.
The scan-to-pay feature, available through the GCash app, will be launched in at least 11 branches over the next couple of months.
The branches are BGC Stopover, Market Market, Venice Grand Canal Mall, Loyola (Katipunan, Buendia, Valero, Glorietta, Park Square Makati, Makati Avenue, UPS (Shakey’s WOW Center) and Magallanes.
“With the growing demand for delivery services, this mobile solution ensures greater reach and easier access for guests even those in hard-to-reach provincial areas,” Globe said.
