The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) has approved the joint venture that will build the National Government Administrative Center (NGAC) in New Clark City, which will host satellite government offices including that of the Office of the President.
In a statement on Tuesday, PCC said it had approved the joint venture between state-owned firm Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) and Malaysian developer MTD Capital Berhad.
In a previous statement, BCDA said Phase 1-A of the center would be completed by the end of next year.
The proposed joint venture is set to handle the financing, design, engineering, establishment, construction, and eventually the operation of NGAC in New Clark City in the Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ), a Special Economic Zone within BCDA’s jurisdiction in Pampanga.
BCDA will own 10 percent of the joint venture, while MTD will have 90 percent.
