Megaworld gains as firms migrate to bustling Fort Boni

Tycoon Andrew Tan-led property developer Megaworld Corp. is set to deliver about P30 billion worth of new residential units in Fort Bonifacio this year, marking a record-high turnover for the company.

This consists of 2,300 condominium units in three townships within Fort Bonifacio, the company disclosed to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Monday.

The residential towers are: The Florence Tower 1, Viceroy East Tower and The Venice-Giovanni Tower in McKinley Hill; St. Moritz Private Estate in McKinley West; One Uptown Residence and Uptown Ritz in Uptown Bonifacio.

“This is so far our biggest inventory for turnover in Fort Bonifacio within a year. These projects are primarily located in our three bustling townships where demand for residential projects continues to go up, primarily fueled by the migration of several corporate offices within the Fort district,” said Noli Hernandez, senior vice president for sales and marketing at Megaworld.

Viceroy East Tower, The Florence and the Venice Luxury Residences is located within the Venice Grand Canal in McKinley Hill. These are also within walking distance from educational institutions such as Enderun, Chinese International School and Korean International School. Several office towers like United Health Group, Wells Fargo, Samsung, Abbott and Concentrix hold their operations within the vicinity.

One Uptown Residence and Uptown Ritz are strategically linked to Uptown Mall and Uptown Parade in the vibrant district of Uptown Bonifacio. Both are award-winning projects, having bagged the “Best Residential Architectural Design” (Philippine Property Awards 2017) and the “Best Luxury Condo Development for Metro Manila” (Philippine Property Awards 2016), respectively.

St. Moritz Private Estate, for its part, won the “Best Universal Design” in last year’s Philippine Property Awards. Furnished with European home brands, it is the first residential tower development to rise in the new township.

Megaworld has four integrated urban townships covering a total of 107 hectares in the former Fort Bonifacio military camp turned bustling central business district. Its developments in the area are: McKinley Hill, McKinley West, Uptown Bonifacio and Forbes Town.—DORIS DUMLAO-ABADILLA
