Very few countries can perhaps rival the romance and glamour exuded by Italy.
Think gondola rides along the narrow canals of Venice, cafés and cobblestone roads in Tuscany, quaint villas along Lake Como, grand and stunning castles at the Piedmont, and the different iconic landmarks such as the Gothic-style Casa di Giulietta in Verona, and you have the perfect recipe for romantic, sweet escape.
Iconic love landmark
Admittedly though, the cost of going to Italy, or anywhere else in Europe may prove to be too steep for some, and the process, too cumbersome. While there are alternative places for such an escapade, there is, however, one place that mirrors the romanticism and laidback lifestyle offered by Italy.
The 63-hectare Suntrust Verona, located along the Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa National Road, has since become an iconic love landmark, providing a taste of Italy in the country, all year round.
“Verona is being promoted as the love capital of all the Suntrust Properties projects—you can fall in love with Italy right in Tagaytay, right here in the country,” said Christine A. Bellen, senior manager for sales and marketing-Luzon, at Suntrust Properties Inc.
“This Italian-themed community is a love destination in itself. When it comes to Suntrust Verona, it’s really about love not only for couples, but also for families, for nature given the structures, amenities and features in this development,” Bellen explained.
‘Letters to Juliet wall’
This is why on February 10, Suntrust Verona will be showcasing a taste of Italy through a series of activities and events that would make you fall in love with the community even more.
“We will have dove feeding, have painters on the spot, and at the replica of the Casa di Guilietta, we will be launching on that day our Letters to Juliet wall. We will even have Secretaries to Juliet who will pick up the notes and who will be responding via Instagram, Messenger or through whatever contact details they will leave there,” Bellen disclosed.
“Across that would be the love lock fence and the wishing well where couples can proclaim anew how much they love each other. In fact, we will have some fancy padlocks for couples to choose from,” she said.
There will be other activities as well that can be enjoyed by couples, families and friends all throughout the day. In the evening, there will be a film screening of classic love stories, a perfect way to cap off the day.
“It’s going to be like Italy,” promised Bellen.
“February 10 will be a full day of activities that are all geared towards the promotion of Verona for Filipinos, the balikbayans, and even foreigners who want to stay in a themed community such as Suntrust Verona. Here they will fall in love 365 days of the year, not only with people, but also with the weather and the ambience—with the replica of the Casa di Guilietta, Fontana di Venere at the Grand Arched Entrance, and the bridges similar to those in Italy,” she explained.
True to its promise of providing happiness, warmth and love, Suntrust Properties will indeed be taking the celebration of Valentine’s Day a notch higher, imbibing that Italian love affair at the Suntrust Verona.
