It’s time for Clock In

Social hall of the new coworking space in BGC

A new coworking site has opened at the Bonifacio High Street (BHS), tapping the underserved market of startups and small to medium businesses.

A welcome addition to Ayala Land Inc.’s “Clock In” brand, the new site claims to be the first coworking space in the prime shopping, dining and entertainment area of BGC.

Clock In was also recently merged with Fort Bonifacio Development Corp.’s (FBDC) Square One BGC brand.

Clock In branches in BGC will be under FBDC, the master planner and developer of BGC.

In October 2016 or prior to the launch of Clock In, FBDC opened a 1,200 square-meter coworking space called Square One BGC in Bonifacio Technology Center. This site has been rebranded to Clock In following the merger of the two brands.

Patricia Gail Samaniego, Ayala Land Offices head of project development, says there are plans to set up branches in Vertis North (Quezon City), Ayala Malls The 30th (Ortigas) and Ayala North Exchange near Makati Medical Center.

Samaniego says the merger of FBDC’s Square One BGC brand and Ayala Land’s Clock In brand should bring in benefits.

“There are synergies by partnering with FBDC and having just one brand. It gives so much value to our members, to our tenants to give them the benefit of passport access to BGC, and Makati and to all our other locations in the future,” she says.

FBDC assistant manager Christine Novera adds that the merger should create a greater impact on the community of small businesses.

“This is not something that we as FBDC or Ayala offer a lot of because we usually lease out big buildings, or floors. This is something that we have been working on to give more support to the growing startups and SMEs,” Novera said.

At full capacity, Clock In BHS can accommodate over 300 workers in its small offices, meeting rooms, individual desks and adaptable open spaces, which could accommodate any work requirement from a quick writing gig to a full-scale app development job.

For those who want the freedom to come and go as they please, there are hotdesks available.

For as low as P620 a day to as high as P9,500 a year, a hotdesk gives you a shared workspace in a common area. The fee includes amenities, such as fast internet connection, as well as free-flowing coffee, tea or water and printing services.

Five-seater room offices are also available.

The meeting rooms are also fully equipped for big teams at a rate of P1,500 per hour.

With the goal to becomeknown as a startup coworking hub, the Clock In BHS team is also willing to sit down with clients and talk about customizing the rates and terms depending on specific needs and budget.

Clock In BHS also offers event venues that are ideal for those who want a place with a playful vibe for product launches and workshops.

Novera says location is one factor that sets Clock In BHS apart from other coworking spaces.

“High Street is where everything happens… we wanted to really embrace more of the creative types. Not a lot of businesses offer this kind of space towards the creative class and that’s the need that we are answering here,” she says.
