GOINGS ON: BIC donates half a million stationery products to education organizations

At a one-day event in KidZania Manila, BIC donated 500,000 stationery products to Children’s Hour, Yellow Boat of Hope, and Kariton Klasrum, as part of their #BICBrightFutures initiative. In attendance were Virlanie Foundation’s project development director Cenen Milan; sales director BIC Southeast Asia Ciprian Frates; Children’s Hour resource mobilization associate Jaycee Belmonte; Filstar Distributors Corp. vice president Trina Alindogan; Kariton Klasrum founder Efren Peñaflorida; BIC senior brand manager- Asia Stationery & Shavers Josephine Ambrocio; deputy general manager of BIC Asia Frederic Dumon; Children’s Hour resource deployment associate Jayson Cabarce; director for grants and partnerships, Yellow Boat of Hope Nathan Virrey and cofounder of Yellow Boat of Hope Jay Jaboneta.

The #BICBrightFutures campaign is a project of the BIC Corporate Foundation for Education, which donated over six million pens across 112 donations in 2016 to help children in need of education.

Lamoiyan partners with DepEd for anti-lice drive

Lamoiyan Corp., maker of Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo, has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) for the Kilusang Kontra Kuto initiative—a public health education campaign that aims to raise awareness about head lice infestation issues.

Through its partnership with DepEd, Lamoiyan Corporation was able to donate kontra-kuto kits and educational materials to 348 schools nationwide, provide hygiene packs for Marawi relief operations, and organize shampooing activities and lectures for 7,000 children and parents and counting.
