More Pinoys bullish on economy
More Filipinos are upbeat about the economy and expect the quality of their lives to improve over the next 12 months, according to a recent Social Weather Stations survey.
The survey of 1,500 adults held from Sept. 23 to 27 showed 43 percent of respondents expected the economy to perform better next year, while 12 percent said it would get worse, resulting in an “excellent” net economic optimism score (optimistic minus pessimistic) of plus 30.
The latest figure is three points above the “excellent” plus 27 (39 percent optimistic minus 12 percent pessimistic) seen in June. —MARIELLE MEDINA
