Living in a tiny studio or a small apartment can be quite challenging. With so many things that you may find necessary, there may be little room for all of them.
Here are five easy tips that will allow you to fit all that furniture in a small space.
1 Use multifunctional furniture
With very limited space, it is important that you use furniture that serves more than one purpose. Find a table that can function as a desk and a dining table. Get a convertible sofa which may come useful when you have guests sleeping over. Instead of getting ordinary coffee or center tables, get cubes that can serve as extra seats when you have guests.
2 Bunk beds
To save up on floor space, you may opt for bunk beds, especially for homes with many kids. Bunk beds only stay in one corner and will allow for three to four children to share the same room.
3 Use every nook and cranny
In a condo unit or small apartment, it is important that you maximize the area and use your empty corners into something more than just idle spaces.
You can convert the space under your stairs into a computer area or home office. You can also build shelves under the stairs for your little library.
The area under your bed may be a perfect place for little drawers for your t-shirts or underwear. Remember, you have limited space and every square meter should be maximized.
4 Paint it white
White gives the room a lighter, brighter base that allows furniture and accessories to stand out. Even-toned rooms fool the eye into thinking they are more spacious.
5 Trick your eye
Create an impression of space by using floor to ceiling curtains and strategically placing mirrors. Hang a gallery wall of paintings and other framed pieces as high as possible to give that illusion of a tall ceiling.
