Century Properties mixes art, adventure in Batangas enclave

Century Properties Group Inc. (CPG) is debuting into leisure estate and tourism development with the launch of its 54-hectare Batulao Artscapes, pitched as the world’s first livable art park and “artventure” community near the foothills of Mount Batulao in Nasugbu, Batangas.

Batulao Artscapes is envisioned to integrate art and adventure into a unique property development that includes an active retirement village featuring designer homes from Revolution Precrafted, world-class vacation amenities, a man-made beach and even a lake. The estate will also feature art enclaves with museums designed by renowned architects.

“Art is the driving force behind the entire development of Batulao Artscapes, and not just an afterthought. Our vision is to create a design-driven community that celebrates art and adventure in an expansive natural landscape,” CPG head of investor relations Kristina Garcia said in a press statement.

The project is part of CPG’s 142-hectare estate near the foothills of Mount Batulao which is expected to produce over P50 billion worth of property inventory. The estate is a 1.5 to two-hour drive from the metropolis.

Renowned Filipino artists lead a roster of designers for Batulao Artscapes’ first three villages: architect Ed Calma, designers Kenneth Cobonpue, Budji Layug and Royal Pineda.

The fourth section, called the Curated Village 1, will feature 12 one-of-a-kind homes by international architects and designers.

Home prices start at P4 million for a 56-square-meter unit at the Cluster Village while the larger homes at the Curated Village are priced starting at P17.4 million.
