Maynilad Water Services Inc. has earmarked over P10 billion for the installation of a total of 183.6 kilometers of sewer lines within the next five years.

“Maynilad knows the utmost importance of maintaining the health of communities and the environment through proper wastewater management,” Maynilad president and chief executive
Ramoncito S. Fernandez said in a statement.

“The installation of these new conveyance systems is part of our commitment to expand sewerage services to the entire West concession area,” Fernandez said.

Fernandez said this investment would enable Maynilad to catch 320 million liters of wastewater daily, generated by some 2 million customers in the area, and convey it to sewage treatment plants for treatment.

He said the project was tipped for kickoff in the second semester of 2018, with expected completion in 2022.
